When I was 17, I filmed the bridal prep at my sister’s wedding. It wasn’t the best, but it captured the moment my dad saw my sister in her wedding dress for the first time.

This love of documenting life moments that I have had for years, is what inspired me to leave my teaching career and chase my dream of being a filmmaker. I feel so passionately about film’s ability to not only transport people back to past emotions, but to enhance a person’s ability to relive that exact moment.

As for me? My name is Claire! I am originally from England, however I made the big move to Australia October 2022 (a move me and my family have dreamt of for years!). I got married in Thailand in 2018 to my husband, Kyle and we now have a beautiful son together, who was born April, 2023.

When it comes to Everwood Films, I am the filmmaker, the editor, the email replier, the Instagram poster, everything you see behind the business, is me, trying my best and loving the adventure I am on. Writing about myself is not something I am used to. Neither is talking to the camera on Insta stories, yet here I am! I can’t think of the right words that sum me up, but one thing that I know is an absolute certainty is that I love what I do.

During a wedding, typically there is a moment where all the guests have sat down and the wedding breakfast is about to be served. It is like a pinch me moment. Because there I am, in a room full of people my couple hold closest to their hearts, living out a core memory and they have chosen me to capture it.
